Below is an image of the prerunner for the industrial assembly of ion traps that has been developed within the PIEDMONS project. The modules have been designed at IFAT consisting of ion trap, chipcarrier, die-attach and wirebonds have passed cryogenic cycle stress tests. The ion traps fabricated at Infineon are employed for quantum optics research at UIBK and ETHZ.
